Causes and solutions of hydraulic oil pump wear
Why does the hydraulic oil pump wear out? First follow the editor to understand that there are several forms of hydraulic oil pump wear:
1. Dry wear
When the oil suction port is not opened or reversed, there is no oil or little oil in the hydraulic oil pump, and it is in a state of dry friction. At this time, the pump will burn out in a very short time.
2. Wear and tear caused by not exhausting
The hydraulic oil pump is always in a tight fit state. If there is gas, it will form a mixed state of oil and gas, and the oil film between the friction pairs will not be completely formed. At this time, it is easy to cause wear. Generally speaking, the less oil absorbed, the easier it is to wear. Therefore, the hydraulic oil pump must be exhausted when it is first started.
3. Wear caused by external axial force
When the pump main shaft is subjected to axial force, the wear between the gear shaft and the oil distribution plate is very easy. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the gap is 3-5mm when installing the coupling.
4. Wear caused by external radial force
When the pump is subjected to external radial force, eg: when the coaxiality error of the coupling is too large, it is easy to cause wear of the bearing in the pump.
5. The abrasion caused by metal particles on the pump
Metal particles can destroy the oil film, stick to the gear surface and cause greater wear, so the oil must be kept clean. The sources of metal particles include external entry and internal generation.
In order to reduce the wear and tear of the hydraulic oil pump, the oil pump must be debugged, that is, a series of processes such as checking the opening state of the pipeline, exhausting, jogging, checking the direction of rotation, running without load for 10 minutes, and running with load. The details are as follows:
1. Check the pipeline
Make sure that the pump inlet port is open and the oil outlet relief valve is fully loosened.
2. Exhaust
Exhaust means to remove the air in the pump, there are two methods: ① Exhaust through the oil drain port (M10 inner hexagonal plug) at the end of the pump. ② Exhaust by jogging, generally 2-3 times of jogging can completely exhaust.
3. Multiple clicks
The function of inching is to exhaust and check the direction of rotation. ①Once: Determine the direction of rotation. ②Second time: After confirming the direction of rotation, jog again to further exhaust.
4. Check the direction of rotation
If the pump is reversed it will boil dry, so make sure the rotation is correct.
5. Run for 10 minutes without load
This step makes the pump run-in better and can be used directly at high speed.
6. Running with load
The time of this step depends on each manufacturer.
