VP Vane Pump Pressure Regulation Guide

1. Preparation work

Please make sure you have read and understood this guide before performing pressure adjustments on the VP Series Vane Pump. Please have the following tools and materials ready:

    ① Suitable wrenches and screwdrivers

    ② Clean cloth and solvent

    ③ Pressure gauge

    ④ Test fluid (if applicable)

2. Inspection and Cleaning

Before you begin adjusting pressure, make sure the vane pump has been thoroughly cleaned and shows no signs of blockage or wear. Check all parts of the pump, especially the vanes and pump casing, to make sure they are not damaged or worn.

3. Installation of pressure gauge

Install a pressure gauge on the outlet pipe of the VP series vane oil pump to monitor the pump pressure. Make sure the pressure gauge is installed correctly and accurately displays pump pressure.

4. Adjust the pressure

The pressure of the VP series variable vane pump can usually be adjusted by adjusting the adjusting screw on the pump housing. Please follow these steps:

    ① Close the inlet valve of the pump and open the outlet valve to make the pump run under no-load condition.

    ② Locate the adjusting screw on the pump housing, usually located on the side or bottom of the pump.

    ③ Use a wrench to turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise to increase the pressure of the pump. Please note that the angle and number of turns will affect the amount of pressure increase.

    ④ Slowly increase the pressure of the pump and observe the change in the reading of the pressure gauge. When the desired pressure is reached, stop turning the adjusting screw.

    ⑤ Confirm that the pressure has stabilized and there is no leakage or abnormal noise. If fine adjustments are needed, you can gently turn the adjustment screw to adjust the pressure.

    ⑥ Close the outlet valve, stop the pump, and complete the pressure adjustment.

5. Testing and verification

After completing the pressure adjustment, perform a test to verify the effect of the adjustment.
