Replacement of V&VQ series vane pump core

2023-09-05

V&VQ series vane pumps often encounter such a situation when using them. Other parts are in good condition, but the pump core is severely worn. In order to continue using the vane pump, we have to replace the pump core. So, the question is, how to correctly replace the pump core of the V&VQ series vane pump?

First of all, when we plan to replace the pump core, we should first think of checking the positioning control in the pump casing. If the pilot hole is deformed, it may be best to replace the entire pump. Without replacing the entire pump, you should pay attention to the following points when replacing the pump core:

1. Check whether the shaft seal is aging and deformed. If the bearings are severely worn, you should be more careful when replacing the pump core. It is recommended to use flat and hard objects with the same outer diameter as the shaft seal and slightly larger than the inner diameter of the bearing, and the inner diameter is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pump shaft to send them to a fixed position to prevent deformation of the shaft seal and damage to the bearing.

2. When replacing the pump core, pay attention to whether the old and new pump core models correspond. Installation can only be done after confirming the correspondence. Before installation, clean the inner wall of the pump casing, add lubricating oil, and then install the pump core. If the pump core cannot be placed smoothly during installation, check whether the stator of the pump core and the oil distribution plate are concentric. Adjust the concentricity before installation. Finally, confirm whether the positioning pin of the pump core is fixed on the positioning hole of the pump casing, and check whether the sealing ring is complete and flat. To prevent the seal from trimming, tighten the connecting screws of the pump housing evenly and gradually across the corners.

3. When installing the oil pump, first check whether the sealing ring of the oil pump inlet and outlet flanges and all the pipelines are aging and deformed. At the same time, the dirt on the inner wall of the oil inlet pipeline should be cleaned, and the sealing performance of each connection of the oil inlet pipeline should be checked.

4. When adjusting the direction of the oil inlet and outlet of the oil pump, just unscrew the fixing screw of the pump casing, then rotate the upper pump casing, rotate the guide to the required position and then tighten the screw; do not pull up the pump core to avoid the positioning pin of the pump core and the The positioning holes of the pump casing are misaligned or the sealing rings at the connection between the upper and lower pump casings are misaligned.

5. Check whether the coupling is worn and deformed, and whether the pump shaft is concentric with the motor shaft after the oil pump is installed. The simple method is to turn the coupling by hand to feel even and flexible.

6. Check whether the shaft and bearings of the motor are deformed and worn. If the shaft swings, confirm whether it is shaft deformation or bearing wear to prevent motor problems from affecting the service life of the pump.

7. Before starting the motor, check whether the hydraulic oil in the oil tank is clean enough and whether the filter screen is deformed and clean. It is recommended to clean the oil tank thoroughly and replace the new hydraulic oil and filter screen that meet the standards. The body is filled with hydraulic oil; loosen the exhaust valve at the oil outlet of the oil pump to remove the air in the pump body and pipeline, and start inching when it is empty, and then tighten the exhaust valve or the oil outlet after the operation is normal connector.

8. During the working process of the oil pump, pay attention to whether the oil level, oil temperature, and operating pressure meet the operating requirements. After normal operation, the oil level should generally be higher than the top of the filter by more than 50 mm, otherwise the oil pump will easily suck air and generate noise. It is best to control the oil temperature below 60 degrees Celsius to prevent the oil temperature from being too high and destroying the protective oil film formed by the friction surface.
