Several manifestations of improper use of vane pumps
1.The coupling is installed incorrectly: Because the coupling and shaft fitting clearance is too small or has no clearance, the bearing will be injured when struck hard, causing early damage to the bearing and affecting the life of the entire pump core. Furthermore, if there is no certain axial clearance when the coupling is installed, and the pump is directly and rigidly installed on the pump casing with screws, the bearing will be subject to axial force. If it is subjected to axial force for a long time, the bearing will be severely damaged. It is quickly damaged and produces eccentricity, which affects the pump core. On the surface, it seems that the pump core is faulty. In fact, the culprit is the stress on the bearing. (This is the biggest killer of oil pump damage)
2.Coaxiality out of tolerance: If the coaxiality exceeds the specified value during installation, the bearing and the entire pump core will be eccentric and damaged early, and the shaft will also be cut off (the shaft is cut at the thickest part of the shaft head). The coaxiality Generally, it is better to control it at around ≦0.1 mm.
3.The oil is too dirty: Since the oil tank is not sealed, surrounding dust and debris are mixed into the oil, causing the cleanliness of the oil to exceed the standard. If the filter precision is not enough or there is no filter, the pump core will be quickly scratched and damaged. Damage, especially to the hydraulic oil tank of new equipment, due to welding residue left in the pipeline or unclean cleaning of the oil tank will lead to pump grinding accidents as soon as the new pump is started. (This is the second leading cause of oil pump damage)
4.Oil deterioration: Due to the use of expired hydraulic oil or regenerated oil, the surface of the pump core parts is black or sticky. The impurities, poisons and corrosiveness in the oil can cause early damage to the oil pump. Regenerated expired oil The lack of lubrication and anti-wear properties will also greatly shorten the life of the pump core, and even cause the blades and pump core to become stuck and unable to move.
According to the oil company, the service life of anti-wear hydraulic oil is 2000-3000 hours (continuous half a year). When the environment is good, the service life can be extended to 6000 hours (about one year). Therefore, it is recommended that customers replace the oil with new oil once a year. (This is the third leading cause of oil pump damage)
5.The oil temperature is too high: Since there is no cooling device installed, the oil temperature will continue to rise during continuous use of the machine. If the oil temperature reaches above 70° for a long time, the life of the oil pump will be greatly shortened, and it will generally be damaged in half a year to a year.
6.Water entering the oil: In devices with water cooling, due to the poor sealing of the "water cooling device", water enters the oil, and the oil will appear milky (emulsified), and the internal metal parts of the oil pump will rust or Local corrosion will accelerate wear and shorten the life of the pump during high-speed rotation. The shaft seal of the oil pump will also be damaged early and cause the pump shaft to leak oil. (This is the fourth leading cause of oil pump damage)
