The difference between EDG series and DSG series hydraulic valves
EDG series relief valve: It is composed of a small DC solenoid and a direct-acting relief valve. It can be used as an electro-hydraulic proportional control pilot valve in a small flow hydraulic system to adjust the pressure proportionally according to the input current. However, this valve should be used with a matching power amplifier.
DSG series directional control valve: an solenoid directional valve that uses powerful wet solenoid coils and reasonable casting flow path design to achieve high pressure, large flow, and low pressure loss. Because there are a variety of valve shaft forms, various solenoid coils have optional functions.
EDG series and DSG series are two different series of hydraulic valves, so there are certain differences in design and application:
1.Design structure: The EDG series relief valve adopts a direct spring adjustment structure, while the DSG series reversing valve adopts an indirect spring adjustment structure. The two structures have slight differences in internal structure and working principles.
2.Pressure range: EDG series relief valves are generally suitable for lower pressure ranges, typically between 20 and 210 bar (2.9 and 30.4 psi). The DSG series directional valves are suitable for higher pressure ranges, generally between 70 and 350 bar (10.1 to 50.8 psi).
3.Flow capacity: The EDG series relief valve has a relatively small flow capacity and is suitable for hydraulic systems with low flow requirements. The DSG series directional valve has a larger flow capacity and is suitable for hydraulic systems with high flow requirements.
4.Port size: EDG series relief valves are usually available in smaller port sizes, such as 6mm or 10mm. The DSG series directional valve provides larger valve port sizes, such as 16mm or 25mm.
5.Application fields: Due to differences in design and performance, EDG series relief valves are usually suitable for some light hydraulic systems, such as small mechanical equipment, tools and instruments, etc. The DSG series directional valve is suitable for larger hydraulic systems, such as engineering machinery, metallurgical equipment, and injection molding machines.
