Things to note when operating a vane pump

2024-03-26

The management points of SQP vane pump, PV2R vane pump, T6/T7 vane pump, V/VQ vane pump and DVQ/VQ vane pump include preventing dry running and overloading, preventing air suction and excessive suction vacuum. Also note:

1. If the steering direction of the oil pump changes, its suction and discharge direction will also change. Hydraulic vane pumps have specified steering directions and are not allowed to be reversed. Because the rotor blade grooves are inclined, the blades are chamfered, and the bottom of the blades is connected to the oil discharge chamber. The throttle groove and suction and discharge ports on the oil distribution plate are designed according to the established direction, so the reversible vane pump must be specially designed.

2. The vane pump assembly oil plate and stator must be correctly positioned with positioning pins. The blades, rotor, and oil distribution plate must not be installed backwards. The suction area on the inner surface of the stator is most susceptible to wear. If necessary, it can be flipped and installed so that the original suction area It becomes a discharge area and continues to be used.

3. Pay attention to the cleanness of the working surface during disassembly and assembly, and the oil should be well filtered during work.

4. If the gap between the blades in the blade groove is too large, leakage will increase. If it is too small, the blades will not be able to expand and contract freely, which will lead to malfunction.

5. The axial clearance of the vane pump has a great influence on ηv.

a) Small pump-0.015~0.03mm

b) Medium-sized pump-0.02~0.045mm

6. The temperature and viscosity of the oil should generally not exceed 55°C, and the viscosity is required to be between 17 and 37mm2/s. If the viscosity is too high, it will be difficult to absorb oil; if the viscosity is too small, leakage will be serious.
