Working principle of double vane pump
The advantages of the vane pump are: smooth operation, small pressure pulsation, low noise, compact structure, small size, and large flow. Its disadvantages are: high requirements on the oil, if there are impurities in the oil, the blades are easy to get stuck; compared with the gear pump, the structure is more complicated. It is widely used in medium and low pressure hydraulic systems such as special machine tools and automatic lines in machinery manufacturing. The pump has two configurations: one is a single-acting vane pump and the other is a double-acting vane pump.
The working principle of the double-acting vane pump. The inner surface of the stator is approximately elliptical, the rotor 1 and the stator 4 are installed concentrically, and there are 2 oil suction areas and 2 oil pressure areas arranged symmetrically. Rotor 1 completes 2 times of oil suction and oil pressure per revolution. Double acting vane pumpsare mostly fixed displacement pumps. The structure of the vane pump is more complicated than that of the gear pump, but its working pressure is higher, and the flow pulsation is small, the work is stable, the noise is small, and the service life is long. Therefore, it is widely used in medium and low pressure hydraulic systems such as special machine tools and automatic lines in machinery manufacturing. However, its structure is complex, its oil absorption properties are not very good, and it is also sensitive to oil pollution.
There is also a double vane pump, which is composed of two sets of single-stage vane pump rotors, stators, vanes and oil distribution plates assembled in one pump body, driven by the same transmission shaft, and they have a common oil suction port and 2 separate oil drains. At low pressure, the two pumps supply a large amount of oil at the same time, and the system can move quickly with light load. When the high pressure is high, the large pump passes through the unloading valve and goes directly to the fuel tank to unload, reducing power loss. The small pump supplies oil alone, and the system works slowly under heavy load.
