Hydraulic oil pump commissioning and precautions

2023-06-29

After the hydraulic oil pump is installed, it must be inspected and debugged to see if the pump is working normally. How to check and debug whether the hydraulic pump is working normally?

    (1) Check that the rotation direction of the pump should be consistent with the direction indicated by the label on the pump body, and the connection should not be reversed.

    (2) Turn the coupling by hand, it should feel brisk and evenly stressed, so as to identify whether the pump is installed normally.

    (3) Check whether the safety valve in the hydraulic system is at the set allowable pressure.

    (4) Check whether the hydraulic system has an unloading circuit, whether it can cause full-load start and stop, so as to reduce the service life of the pump and overload the motor.

    (5) Before the first test run of the pump, the oil discharge port should be filled with oil so that there is oil in the pump to avoid damage to the components due to dry friction when the pump is started, and the safety valve should be opened at the same time.

    (6) The pump should run for no less than 5 minutes without load before working. Check whether the sound of the pump is normal and the direction of the liquid flow is correct. If it is normal, you can carry out a test run with load. First perform low-load operation, adjust the pressure of the flow control valve to below 2.0MPa and turn it for 10-15 minutes to check whether the system's action, external leakage, noise, temperature rise, etc. are normal.

If everything is normal, the pressure of the overflow valve can be adjusted to the safety protection pressure of the hydraulic system, and then the hydraulic system can be unloaded. If it is not normal, find out the reason, and then do debugging and test run until the pump works normally.
